Jaimes shares a conflict management skill that he practices in his daily life, and encourages Sue to use it the next time she wants to hold back or not speak up. BreakThrough in Letting Go of The Mask
RECORDED LIVE: MON 18 OCT 2010
BreakThrough Blogcast - Episode 37 with Jaimes McNeal, creator and host of BreakThrough Blogcast, with first-time guest co-host Sandy Moss, massage therapist, life coach, and owner of Sacred Journeys.
Roundtable Guest: Rachael Shaffer.
As we begin the episode, Rachael talks about her mask and jokingly refers to herself as a chameleon, acknowledging that over the years, as events in life happened, she put on a mask to fit in. Rachael struggles with insomnia and shared her nighttime ritual of playing out various scenarios as “worse case” situations. When asked what she was afraid of, Rachael describes it as fear of the unknown.
Rachael’s first breakthrough of this call happens when Jaimes points out that being afraid of the unknown isn’t possible because what you’re really saying is that you’re afraid of what you think you know, which is like predicting the future. Rachael acknowledged that she doesn’t want to live that way any more.
Sandy suggests that Rachael use her gift for strategizing as a skill to start playing around with a positive vision. When asked if any of her nighttime situations have positive outcomes, Rachael acknowledged that they do not. Listen in to hear how Sandy opens the door for Rachael to experience a miracle and what Rachael plans to do to create positive outcomes from what had been “worse case” scenarios.
This episode is about courage and getting in touch with your true self, connecting with personal power and focusing on what you want instead of what you don’t want.

BreakThrough Blogcast - Episode 36 with Jaimes McNeal, creator and host of BreakThrough Blogcast, with resident guest co-host Evonne Weinhaus, author, speaker, and relationship therapist with several national TV talk shows under her belt. Most recently, she co-authored A New Fearless You with Cindy Smith.
Roundtable Guests: Bianca Thompson.
As we reconnect with Bianca, who appeared earlier in Episode 30, as a check-in to see if she accomplished what she set out to accomplish in terms of her goals to step out from behind her “corporate” self. Bianca shared that even though she hadn’t accomplished exactly what she declared, she learned a lot about herself along the way. In particular, she learned about her tendency to blame others for her short-comings—something she found herself doing in past relationships, and mostly stemming from the decision she made about herself as a result of an early sexual trauma.
Also in this episode, Evonne “walks her talk” by discussing feedback given to her by a reader of her blog. At the end of the show, Jaimes introduced a new featured segment of the show by playing a caller’s question and asks blogcast listeners give their response to the relationship question left by Laura Simon. Looking forward to hearing your insight!
